Some patients of Fallbrook Hospital were victims of a security breach.  Their data was breached in a hack attack against its parent company, Community Health Systems Inc.

Community Health Systems reported that Chinese hackers infiltrated its electronic health records systems and made off with data on an estimated 4.5 million patients over the last five years.

The stolen data included patient names, addresses, birth dates, telephone numbers and social security numbers but not medical information or credit card numbers.

Fallbrook, which has 47 beds, is one of three hospitals in California operated by Community Health Systems.
